Vaseline Paint The Town

So glad it's limited edition...

Vaseline Paint The Town was hyped and the advert made it look as though it's such a brilliant lip tint, but I have to say this product is a let down for those who wanted to achieve that red tint!

We know the company Vaseline is a prestigious one because of the goodness of the ingredients, used to fade away any dryness and make the skin look and feel better, even with lips, which turn super soft once the lip products are applied. But this tinted idea is a fail.

I tried this product and it did nothing, yes nothing, my lips weren't red, even the slightest of red, It looked as though I applied the normal Vaseline.

To achieve that red tint, I advise you to go for another product. Try the actual makeup counters that sell red tints and if you find it harsh for your lips then apply the original Vaseline for a glossy effect.

Nivea's red cherry lip balm is a winner because it actually makes the lips a subtle red colour and protects too, the only downfall is that it's not actually anywhere in the shops, well I haven't seen it, but it can be purchased online.

Topshop Saree collection

Don't know whether this is true but i've heard fom a friend that Topshop will be launching a saree collection. If this is true then wow, if not then oh well, because we rather stick to our traditional roots but hey, no harm in trying something new right? I personally wouldn't, this is purely because the sarees will be a short version apparently. It reminds me of shorts with a cloth draped over... erm, no thanks because I love long!  What i'm loving now in the world of sarees is the print collection. They are casual and bold and can be worn for any occasion depending on how one dresses it up.

My hot hair and beauty picks

Palmer's Coconut oil deep conditioning protein pack
For hair that needs that pure silk feeling, this protein pack with Vitamin E will give you just that!  It will give your hair the moisture it needs and make it feel soft, you don't even have to go to the salon for a conditioning treatment!  It is advisable to use the shampoo and conditioner in addition to this weekly protein pack for beautiful hair.
Body Shop's BB cream

For the light lovers! Yes, if you don't like the heavy coverage of foundation or just feel the need to look natural then head for this beautiful BB cream that turns from a white cream to a smooth tint. Available in three colours, light, medium and dark.

Loreal's blackbuster superliner

So want this! You all by now how much I love experiencing with makeup and being creative. This eyeliner is hot in the market. The tip of the eyeliner gives me the idea that it will definitely create a precise line, good for those who find it hard to create a straight line. Tip: stretch your eye with the opposite hand when applying eyeliner - it really helps!

Avon's Moroccan Argan oil
One of the best Argan products you will ever try. Absolutely love this. This is a truly amazing product at such a good value. If your hair needs softness and taming, then this is the one to go for. It really works on dry or frizzy hair like I have. Apply generously on damp hair and style as desired.

Estee Lauder Cello Pure colour cheek rush
This product comes in four irresistible shades with full on colour when applied to the apple of the cheeks. This cheek colour is gel based and can easily blend onto the skin using the fingertips.
Ruby Woo by MAC
Nothing like a sexy lip colour in every woman's handbag. MAC's Ruby Woo will attract many with its full on, bold red colour that is set to last on the lips. The matte lipstick is said to suit many skin tones. A stunner! Tip: For a glossy look, apply some Vaseline on top.

Selfridges Drive-through

When I first heard of Selfridges introducing a drive-through shopping experience, I was a little surprised, OK, not a little, a lot! I couldn't Imagine Selfridges having a drive through, I found it rather strange, Instead I had images of McDonalds drive-through floating around in my head. Yes, seriously, McDonalds...I just couldn't get around to picturing a shopping heaven to have a drive-through as such.

I mean how would a store like Selfridges that has millions of shoppers manage such an effort? How would it be organised? Would they meet the customers needs and satisfy them? Plus to top it all up, you have congestion, so how would it all work? All these questions are making me a little excited as I would want to see the outcome of this future introduction. Would this experience encourage more shoppers or would it put them off? What will happen with the queues? These are things to think about but I'm sure a lot of planning will be going into this.

However it turns out, I'm sure Selfridges will never lose its customers and being such a famous company, it will manage this new experience very well! Happy shopping :)
