Over the years, I have used several foundations. It's important for me to buy good quality makeup, as in my youth when I used the normal makeup range within Boots or Superdrug, I found that my skin lost its freshness and I was getting a lot of spots. Though some of those makeup ranges are pretty good, I prefer to buy expensive makeup. I don't care what I wear but my face has to look good. I have tried Clinique, Benefit, Estee Lauder, Georgio Armani, MAC and Nars, and maybe others which I can't recall. From all of these foundations, I would give Nars the award for the best foundation I have ever tried. It's the Sheer Matte one, an oil-free foundation which suited my skin perfectly. I had no skin problems using this and I would buy it again if i get the chance to go London, that is. This foundation did not look over the top-It gave the perfect coverage and made my skin look fresh too. Another makeup product I would recommend to anyone is Benefit's Hello Flawless, a cover-up, silky powder that glides on smoothly. It's good to get if you want a fine coverage without having to wear liquid foundation. Now, my aim is to try Iman's foundation next, who knows it may even beat Nars.

Belle D'opium
I've been wanting to write about this product in a while. It's the perfume by Yves Saint Laurent called Belle D'opium. I fell in love with it when I first tested it. It's one of the best perfumes I've ever smelt and I hope to own one very soon. The scent is seductively sweet and the bottle is rather nice, a purple and gold colour- giving that midnight look. It smells a little like 'Cinema', another past creation from Yves Saint Laurent. Can't wait to get hold of one. Have you tried it yet?

Low heels
Forget high heels or platforms because this season it's all about low heels, like kitten heels and slingbacks. And this trend is set to carry on in 2011. These low heels can be paired with knee-high socks in the winter or even stockings in the less colder months. Don't be afraid to go a few inches down, you will feel stylishly relaxed.

My latest bargain
Hello my lovely folks,
Sorry for the delay in blogging. I have been rather busy in the past few weeks and I've had family problems too but I promise you that I will never abandon my blog :)
Now, let me tell you about the product I purchased the other day and which was a bargain!
My sister told me about it, otherwise I would have never found out. It was a Christmas offer from M&S, where they were selling their 'open front ribbed oblong cardigan' for only £10. So I decided to head down to M&S to grab my very own. It was very hectic-those cardigans were selling like hot cakes! When it was my turn to be served, I told them my size and the colour I wanted. Black it was, but guess what... they were mostly sold out and only size 10 was left which my sister grabbed, fortunately or even unfortunately. Then I asked for a brown colour and yes, it was available. I was excited to try it on and as I did, I found it to be the perfect fitting. I rarely shop for clothes at M&S but I do find that their knitwear is rather nice, and not forgetting the brilliant quality. I'm glad to have purchased this, this season.

Lanvin for H&M arrives
Luxurious designer Lanvin's collection has arrived at H&M, finally. It's the moment we have all been waiting for since the collaboration was announced on September, 2nd, 2010. It was hectic at Regent Street as the collection went on sale from 9am on November 23rd. People queued from the night before in order to grab their favourites. Oversized floral prints to one shoulder dresses are just some of the pieces from the collection. Lanvin's winter collection for H&M rocks!

Pump it
We love pumps, don't we?
Well, I do. I think they're great to walk in and they look cute and they are going to be highly popular this season. I own a few pairs of pumps and I wish I could own more. Let's not complain because life is looking rather bright this season, so I'll soon be heading down to town to grab more. To me, pumps are so comfy and they go well with most clothes and now there are so many pretty pumps. x
Here are a few pretty pumps:

Bright-Shadows
This season is not about being dull but bringing bright colours to attention. Whether it's going out or going to work, you should apply some bright eye-shadows to your eyes. Ditch your usual palette and go for something catchy, that will make you stand out from the crowd. Two-tone is in this season, so try it out and experiment with colours on those lovely eyes. Have fun till the next time I blog on :)

Florence and Fred at Tesco
I went to Tesco the other day and wanted to check out their clothing range and I spotted so many good fashion pieces. Their clothing has got better and even better than George at Asda. I was taking my time throughout the aisles and I was saying to my sister, "Wait for a bit, oh check this out, I really want this." The item I loved was a knitted dress and I stood staring at it. That was not just it, most of the clothes were so appealing, like their coats and jackets, as well as animal print harem pants, which I would love to own. They're so up-to-date with fashion, no wonder why Tesco clothing is officially sponsored by London Fashion Week.
Lady Million by Paco Rabanne
Hello readers,
I'm sure by now you must have smelt the incredibly sexy perfume by Paco Rabanne called Lady Million, a female version of 1 Million. I remember smelling the men' s perfume and when it came to smelling the attractive chunky gold bottle, I was in love with it. I actually sprayed it once on my wrist so I could carry on smelling it as I walked out of the store. I always wished that Paco Rabbane made something similar for the ladies, and yes to my suprise he did. I love this new fragrance and I'm proud to own one. Thank You Mr Rabbane.

Seductive lips
The classic red is once again reborn. It's such a bold and sexy colour, that makes your lips look seductively hot. Make it modern rather than retro. Go for any shade of red, whether it's blood red or sweet raspberry. Use a lipliner to define your lips and experiment with the shape or tone.

Leapord print coats
Hello again,
Leapord print coats are totally in! It was a huge a/w catwalk trend on vintage coats. The 60s trend is all about flattering your shape in luxurious-looking pieces. So wear it with a leather belt to emphasise those curves. I have selected this one from New Look, as it's affordable and yet so trendy. You will need this in your a/w cupboard!
Grab it now for only £39.99. Belt: £7.99.
Nude Platforms
Hello my dear readers,
I'm loving nude platforms! They bring on a twist into the world of shoes and are great for chick autumn nights. They can be paired with wooly socks or tights for the catwalk look, or with high-denier opaques in the night!
I love these particular ones from New Look, and I have found similar ones by George at Asda.
New Look: £15.00 (was £20.00) George at Asda: £12.50

Boot-a-licious!
The wedge trend
I'm loving the boots out in many shops at the high street, especially the wedge ones, which I prefer. Firstly, they give me the height-as being a petite person, and secondly, they're comfortable-while supporting the whole foot! I saw one particular furry pair that caught my eye. The best thing about them is the style and the rubber grip under the boot, which would be beneficial for slippery conditions-don't you think? The first picture placed below are my favourite boots. There are many other boots out there, so girls, be boot-a-licious :) x

Clog away
Clogs
Hello all,
I came across Clogs as I was browsing through New Look today. A Clog is a type of protecting footwear that has been traditionally worn by workers. A Clog can also be a shoe used for Clog-dancing, similar to tap dancing. There were different forms of Clogs in New Look, some may suit your style and are affordable! After doing some research, I have found a few that may be of interest. Be the trend and strut your style now. XxX

Get glowing
L'or by Guerlain
Hello my lovely readers,
Hope you're doing well. I have my hands on this tremendous product by Guerlain called L'or. It is a primer in a gel form, and is to be applied smoothly over the face before your foundation. The beauty in this product is that it contains 24-carat gold, yes, and that too in flakes, which have been immersed into the smooth hydrating gel. The gold will lighten up your complexion, because gold of all metals reflects light in an extraordinary way. The gold is there to give you that precious radiance as being so pure. When applying, use a small amount and work outwards to even out creases and smooth lines. L'or is priced at £40.

Nars foundations
With years of experience of trying on different foundations , I finally received the pleasure of trying Nars foundation at Selfridges, London. After hearing a lot about Nars and seeing it for myself in magazines, I decided to get it tested, and why not-afterall I'm getting it as an early Birthday present. I decided to go for a perfect foundation, that will make my skin look flawless and make it look as if though I have not caked it on, while still having an obvious coverage. I wanted a foundation that will make my face look fresh and non-oily, so I went for Sheer matte foundation (£29). With 15 shades, there will surely be one to cater for your skin colour. I purchased Nars Primer (£25), this is good to use before applying your foundation, just after you've moisturised your face-the primer will make the foundation last longer and set it evenly. The matte foundation feels silky and smooth once applied on and, will go a long way with a little application. If you have normal skin, which doesn't tend to get oily, then you can go for Nars sheer glow foundation, which was voted no 1.
Tip of the day: If you have problem skin and you don't want it to show when applying blusher, then apply pressed powder over your foundation. Powder on powder will be better as opposed to powder (blusher) on foundation, as this will show more.
Quote of the day: "Truly modern make-up should enhance a woman's natural look without ever dominating or masking her own beauty and personality." -Francois Nars.

Goodness of coconut water
Hello readers,
Hope you're all well.
Who says beauty is created externally...beauty can be created within!
Did you know the many benefits of drinking coconut water? Well now I will share it with you. I never knew these benefits myself, but as I was flicking through the pages of my glossy magazine, I came across the fact that coconut water is good for the skin and promotes weight loss! I'm talking about the green coconuts. And that's not just it, there are so many more benefits and I'm happy to tell you. Right, coconut contains organic compounds that help to: Keep the body cool and the proper temperature; orally re-hydrate your body, it is an all natural isotonic beverage; carry nutrients and oxygen to cells; naturally replenish your body's fluids after exercising; raise your metabolism; boost your immune system; detoxify and fight viruses; cleanse your digestive tract; control diabetes; aid your body in fighting viruses, that cause the flu, herpes and AIDS. As well as these, it balances your PH and reduces the risk of cancer; treats kidney and urethal stones and boosts poor circulation. Need I say more?
