With years of experience of trying on different foundations , I finally received the pleasure of trying Nars foundation at Selfridges, London. After hearing a lot about Nars and seeing it for myself in magazines, I decided to get it tested, and why not-afterall I'm getting it as an early Birthday present. I decided to go for a perfect foundation, that will make my skin look flawless and make it look as if though I have not caked it on, while still having an obvious coverage. I wanted a foundation that will make my face look fresh and non-oily, so I went for Sheer matte foundation (£29). With 15 shades, there will surely be one to cater for your skin colour. I purchased Nars Primer (£25), this is good to use before applying your foundation, just after you've moisturised your face-the primer will make the foundation last longer and set it evenly. The matte foundation feels silky and smooth once applied on and, will go a long way with a little application. If you have normal skin, which doesn't tend to get oily, then you can go for Nars sheer glow foundation, which was voted no 1.
Tip of the day: If you have problem skin and you don't want it to show when applying blusher, then apply pressed powder over your foundation. Powder on powder will be better as opposed to powder (blusher) on foundation, as this will show more.
Quote of the day: "Truly modern make-up should enhance a woman's natural look without ever dominating or masking her own beauty and personality." -Francois Nars.
Nice one! Il surely be trying out Nars foundation. i am always forever trying to find th eprefect foundation for my oily problem skin. also can I ask...what press powder would you recomend?..I used to use Mac ( studio tech i think?) but it made me break out in spots even more! Hello pink lips my beautiful lady,
ReplyDeleteYes you should try it out, It's absolutely lovely. Your skin will look fresh and there will definitely be one to match your fair skin :) So I recommend you go for the matte foundation. Right, this might sound strange but I brought Collection 2000 pressed powder in '1 Candelight' shade as I spent quite a bit on Nars that day. It was only £2.99. I have been using it for a few days, and it has not done any harm. You could try that out or opt for the more richer pressed powders, for example: Iman- which has over 18 shades and it's highly likely that one will match your skin. Another good pressed powder is, 'get even', by benefit. It helps out redness and even discolouration. It also blots away shine! And is priced at £22.50. This would be a great one for you. Hope that helps. P.S thanks for the feedback xxx
